25th May was the third day of the event “Eid er Khushi – 2019” organized by Rongdhonu Foundation. On the first two days of the event, we took poor but brilliant students who earned scholarships from Rongdhonu Foundation and the street children to the shopping mall to buy them new cloths for Eid-ul-fitr. On the 25th May, we donated new cloths to the orphans of madrasa.
‘Choika Madrasa’, situated at KEPZ circle, is struggling really hard to maintain it’s daily activities. Some local religious masters (Hujur) are teaching those poor and helpless orphans voluntarily. Rongdhonu Foundation is trying to help this madrasa for last two years. Like the previous years, we donated new panjabis and frocks to the orphans of this madrasa as Eid gifts. The main goal of this event is to spread the happiness of Eid to all levels of the society. No children should ever miss the happiness of Eid.
Minhaj Ibne Faruqe, a senior member of Rongdhonu Foundation commented, “Look, everything we do here is to see the smile on the faces of these children, we want nothing else!”. Another senior member Arif Jawad said, “I know about this madrasa for a long time. Teachers are trying very hard to keep this madrasa running. We came here to spread some happiness to these orphans.”
General member of the foundation Nusrat Jahan, Mazharul Haque; permanent member Nusrat Jahan Ruhi; senior member Mahmudul Hasan, Mahmudur Rahman, Arif Jawed, Minhaz Ibn Faruk; founding member S M Shamrat, Tania Sultana; founder Frahim Taj and Sayed Imran Priom were present at the event.
